Parenting & Family Support
Online & In-Person Programs

Children’s behaviours don’t come from nowhere - they tell us something.
We just have to learn their language!
Tantrums, aggression, resistance, rejection... what if these behaviours weren’t problems to “fix”, but windows into your child’s developmental needs? What if we could transform behaviour, not by continually battling symptoms, but by working with the root cause - the underlying feelings and needs? THAT is how we create lasting change from within!
I’m here to help you understand your child’s inner world and use the power of play to activate their instincts to work WITH you, not against you. Because when you speak the language of kids, parenting becomes not only easier, but a lot more fun!

Filial Therapy
Delivery Mode: Online or In-Person
Filial Therapy is a unique type of Play Therapy that equips parents with therapeutic play skills to use at home. Backed by over 40 years of research, this approach recognises that when caregivers become the primary therapeutic support, they can create meaningful, lasting change.
In Filial Therapy, parents are supported to facilitate one-on-one “special play times” with their children. These sessions are non-directive and child-centred, using a specific set of skills that help to create a safe space for children to express themselves, explore emotions and feel understood.
This approach empowers parents as the core agents of change for their family, giving them the skills and confidence to address their child’s social and emotional challenges. These skills are gradually integrates into daily life, leading to a more connected and harmonious family dynamic.
Filial Therapy is suitable for families with children aged 3 to 12 and can be especially helpful for challenges such as anxiety, emotional regulation, attention difficulties and family transitions. In this modality, at least one parent or carer participates in all sessions, with children joining in select sessions.

“I have yet to meet a child who enjoys misbehaving. Rather I see a child who is working to communicate a message about an unmet need in increasingly desperate and extreme ways.”
