ARE YOU READY TO SEE YOUR CHILD THROUGH A WHOLE NEW LENS?

Circle of Security Parenting™ Program

A spacious and transformative 8-week group program for parents who want to feel more attuned, more confident, and more connected in their parenting.

let go of RIGID PARENTING RULES AND RETURN TO WHAT REALLY MATTERS

You're a self-aware parent who wants to raise your child with emotional intelligence and secure attachment.

But parenting advice is overwhelming. Every scroll makes us feel like one way of doing things, one response, one messy moment, or one imperfect day could damage your child for life. It leaves many parents stuck in worry and self-doubt...

We are OVER-THINKING our parenting and UNDER-TRUSTING ourselves.

Circle of Security Parenting™ disrupts that cycle.

Here, we look beyond behaviours to the attachment relationship, which is shaped through patterns over time, not isolated moments. Children don’t need us to be flawless; they need us to tune into their needs and take responsibility for the relationship we have with them.

This group is a space for parents who are ready to embrace imperfectly human, good-enough parenting – which is what our kids actually need to grow with security.

This group is Where the “perfect PARENT” STORY gets shown the door. Where you can bring the doubts, the guilt, the moments you’re not proud of, and be met with understanding instead of judgement. Often with a warm drink in hand and a deep sense of relief when you hear that you’re not alone.

What will we learn?

Throughout this transformative program, you will:

  • Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs

  • Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

  • Enhance the development of your child's self esteem

  • Honour your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

Circle of Security Play Therapy Sunshine Coast

This program may align with you if…

  • You’re a parent or guardian of a child aged 0-6 years old.

  • You’re open to reflecting on your own experiences of being parented.

  • You’re curious to learn and explore your child’s attachment needs.

This program may not align with you if…

  • You’re navigating significant mental health or trauma-related challenges.

  • You’re seeking individual therapy or crisis support rather than a reflective program.

  • You would feel safer and more supported in a face-to-face or one-on-one setting.

How it works

Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) is delivered across 8 weeks, with one 60-90 minute session per week. This pacing provides the spaciousness for you to process, practise, and integrate each week’s learning.

Each session is facilitated virtually, and offers a thoughtful blend of video content, reflection, and open discussion.

Some parents choose to share freely in sessions, while others prefer to listen and process quietly. Both ways are OK. Coffee in hand, breakfast in the other, active wear, pyjamas, work fit… you have full permission to be your full, authentic self.

Group sizes are intimate (limited to 6-8 parents) to maximise the therapeutic benefit and create a space that feels safe for exploring these ideas together. In our sessions, you won’t only discover a new lens for seeing your child - you’ll walk away feeling connected, seen and less alone in the world of parenting.

Please note that sessions are unable to be recorded to protect confidentiality and group integrity (as required by Circle of Security International).

What we’ll

Explore ?

Over eight sessions, you’ll be supported to dive deeply into the Circle of Security framework. Based on five decades of attachment research, this map is like learning a secret language to your child’s inner world.

Once you know it, you’ll see it in action everywhere!

Week One

Welcome to Circle of Security Parenting

We begin by creating a safe, supportive space and exploring the Circle as a powerful map that is always taking place in the lives of adults and kids.

Week Two

Exploring Our Children’s Needs All the Way Around the Circle

You’ll learn to really see your child’s behaviour as meaningful communication, recognise where they are on the Circle, and understand what it means to be their “Hands” - bigger, stronger, wiser and kind.

Week Three

“Being With” on the Circle

This chapter deepens your capacity to “be with” your child’s feelings - not fixing, correcting or minimising - but offering emotional availability and safety as they learn to navigate their inner world.

Week Four

“Being With” Infants on the Circle

We explore how even the smallest babies communicate “OK/Not OK,” and how our attunement and co-regulation help shape the foundations of secure attachment.

Week Five

The Path to Security

Here we gently unpack our own “Shark Music” - the triggers and emotions that make parenting feel hard - and discover how awareness, reflection and support (not perfection) move us toward security.

Week Six

Exploring Our Struggles

With compassion, we look at the moments we feel overwhelmed, reactive or unsure, exploring how our own history shapes these patterns - and how insight opens the door to doing things differently.

Week Seven

Rupture and Repair in Relationships

This chapter reframes acting-out behaviour as your child calling for help, and teaches us how to repair disconnection through presence, kindness and returning to the Circle.

Week Eight

Summary and Celebration

We close by celebrating your growth, and acknowledging the deep, courageous work you’ve done to bring more security, connection and ease into your family life.
